Christina Salerno is journalist and multimedia producer based in the Pacific Northwest. Christina holds a master’s degree in digital media and documentary film from the University of California, Berkeley. Her thesis film, “BURN: California’s Destiny,” is a 24-minute documentary about wildfire in urbanized California.

Prior to studying at Berkeley, Christina worked as a reporter at The Modesto Bee, a daily newspaper in Central California. She has also worked as a web producer for CBS Interactive and Human Rights Watch, and as a studio engineer at UC Berkeley’s in-house broadcast studio, feeding live shots to television networks such as MSNBC and PBS.

In March 2010, she was awarded a prize from the Academy of Television Arts & Television Foundation for “Identity/Shift,” a television news magazine show she co-produced at UC Berkeley. Christina’s newspaper writing has won Best of the West and APNECC awards.
